Booking and Pricing

How far in advance should we book?
We are open for weddings throughout peak wedding season, May through October, and are closed in the off season. Our weddings typically book out 12 to 18 months in advance, so to ensure availability and secure your preferred date, we recommend reaching out as soon as possible. That said, last-minute dates do become available and cancellations can occur, so we always encourage you to reach out before making any decisions. During the off season we are generally able to offer access to the venue for miscellaneous needs, such as photoshoots, but do not book weddings.
How do we reserve our date?
To secure your event date, we require a signed event agreement and a non-refundable deposit. Remaining balances are paid according to your package terms. We will provide details based on your preferred dates and event type.
What is included when we book the venue?
Every rental includes exclusive use of the barn and outdoor ceremony spaces, tables, chairs, and setup essentials, on-site parking and guest accessibility, a preferred vendor access list, access for decorating, rehearsal, and cleanup time, a venue manager on-site during your event, bar setup and bartending staff at no additional cost, guest entertainment items such as yard games, and an extensive selection of wedding decor available for your use. Extras may be available depending on your package.
Do you offer tours or walkthroughs?
Yes. Schedule a private tour to see ceremony setups, reception layouts, vendor areas, decor options, parking, and photography spots. Use our online booking tool or contact form, or simply call us at 612-296-5876 to schedule a visit.

Event Logistics

Does the venue have indoor and outdoor ceremony options?
Yes. We offer multiple ceremony locations including scenic outdoor sites featuring fields and natural backdrops, and indoor barns for weather-protected ceremonies. In case of weather changes, our team can help transition your event indoors quickly.
What happens if it rains or the weather changes?
We maintain a weather backup plan for all events. A decision to host the event inside must be made no later than 8am on the morning of the event and cannot be changed once the decision has been made. We are able to set up both an indoor and outdoor space if flexibility is desired, but this will incur an additional cost.
Are we allowed to decorate the venue?
Absolutely. You may decorate the space to match your style. Certain items like open flames, confetti, loose glitter, and nails or screws into structures are restricted to preserve the venue. We will guide you on safe decorating policies during planning.
Do you offer lodging, or are there hotels nearby?
We do not offer on-site lodging, but there are numerous nearby hotels, bed and breakfasts, and short-term rentals within a short drive, especially within the nearby towns of River Falls and Hudson. We can share recommended accommodations and shuttle options for guests.

Vendors and Catering

Can we bring our own vendors?
Yes. While we offer a preferred vendor list, you may bring your own licensed vendors such as caterers, DJs, photographers, planners, musicians, and florists. We even allow you to bring in your own food to cater the event yourselves. We simply ask that all vendors show proof of insurance and comply with venue guidelines.
Is alcohol allowed at The Barns of Lost Creek?
Yes. We have a full liquor license to provide you with alcoholic beverage options. Self-serve alcohol, including coolers or kegs, are not allowed due to Wisconsin liquor regulations and venue safety policies. If you have any special requests for liquor, beer, or wine that you would like available to your guests, please let us know ahead of time and we are happy to work with you to set up a custom bar. Note that additional fees apply for custom bar setups.

Photography and Decor

Is photography allowed on the property before the event date?
Yes. Engagement sessions, wedding portraits, and vendor walkthroughs are allowed on-site when scheduled. The property offers unique barn features, rustic countryside scenery, and stunning natural sunset lighting, perfect for photos.
What decor items do you provide?
Our decor library includes clear and brown glass vases and jugs, clear and period votives, gold and brown glass votive holders, gold candle holders, wood rounds, bins and crates, fabrics, backdrops, and more. We also provide wooden arches and pillars, outdoor garden furniture, and yard games. You are welcome to use any of these items at no additional charge.
